About Lexey

A lifelong passion for horses led to my interest in photography. I had my first ride on a horse at five years old, on a dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Much to the dismay of my parents, there was no turning back. I spent 15 years working in the horse industry as a groom, manager, rider, and trainer. During this time, I traveled up and down the east coast, midwest, and mid-south attending horse shows, working for some of the industry’s top professionals. In addition to the US, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel, with the horses, to shows in Canada, Europe, and South America. In 2007, I took a short break from horses to attend photography school. Upon graduation, I settled back into my routine in the horse industry, armed with a new skill.

Photography has enabled me to combine my two passions into one creative outlet. I’ve enjoyed meeting and photographing people from all walks of life. Lexey Hall Photography is a labor of love, and a business that has grown and matured right along with me. What began as a side hobby, has developed into much more than I ever imagined it could. I strive to create colorful, classic images that will hang in homes for generations to come.

These days I enjoy riding and showing as an amateur rider. I’m very fortunate to be able to share my love of horses with my husband Mike, who runs Lynnewood Stables in Old Westbury, NY, and our two children, Zachary and Lucy, who adore the horses and ponies as much as we do.
